The Top One Percenters Playlist Volume 32

A weird thing about covid is the artist divide on whether they should be releasing music during this pandemic. My opinion is a resounding "YES" because it helps reinforce a bit of normalcy that everyone is craving. I get not wanting to release music/albums you can't promote, but with so many artist postponing releases, I've had to dig a little deeper into the crates for Vol 32. Check out the Spotify playlist below and the tracklist after the jump. Click here for Vol 31 and here for all playlists.

The Top One Percenters Playlist Volume 29

The 29th iteration of the greatest playlist on earth

Every time I try to make one of these playlists, life gets in the way and then BOOM!, 3 months between playlists. Smh. I promise to be better and do these bi-monthly, if not more frequently.

Volume 29 has 28 tracks. Some highlights:

-- Camila Cabello + DaBaby // My Oh My // This feels like the next single and you're probably going to hear it everywhere for the first 6 months of 2020

-- Harry Styles // Adore You // This record is so amazing. Could be record of the year

-- Tyga //Ayy Macarena // Tyga does nothing but drop hits ever since he split with Kylie

-- Miley Cyrus + Wuki // Mother's Daughter Remix // Been a staple of my workout playlists for months

-- TNGHT // Dollaz // This record gets me lit like "Sicko Mode" did

-- Burna Boy // My Money, My Baby // 2020 is the year Burna Boy blows up in America

-- Doja Cat // Bottom Bitch // This track samples Blink 182's "What's My Age Again" and I fucking love it. Her debut album, Hot Pink, is amazing. Highly recommend it

-- Tove Lo // Mateo // A stand out track from an incredible album. Check out Sunshine Kitty

-- Ariana Grande // Breathin' (live) // My favorite track of 2018 gets the live treatment

As always, volume 29 are the top 28 tracks. Previous entries are included further down in the playlist. Check out Vol 28 here.

The Top One Percenters Playlist Volume 25

I'm *kind of* able to do these with a little bit of regularity, but not as frequently as I want. I had most of these tracks selected a few weeks ago but am only now getting around to putting everything together.

The 25th playlist includes some really amazing work from Takeoff of the Migos ("Infatuation" is probably the most fully realized track I've ever from Migos/Migos members), new/newer artist like Glowie and Kiiara, house/dance artist Robyn (probably best known for "Dancing on my Own" and whose new album, Honey, is up there as one of the best albums of 2018) and amazing new sounds from Icona Pop and Empress Of. Check out the earlier Top One Percenters Playlist here.

Diplo ft. DRAM - Look Back [Music Video]

The homies Diplo and DRAM hook up for a trippy, 70s inspired rock jam that comes completely out of left field for both artists. I vibes with it, tho. Quality over expectations, ya dig?

Jack Ü (Skrillex + Diplo) - To Ü ft. AlunaGeorge

This album is nothing but fire. So is the Major Lazer album. And this is probably my fav song off either set. In fact, this might be my favorite song of the year. It's been in my main iPod playlist since the album dropped in late february, and it's got no signs of slowing down (unlike Meek Mill's career). Everytime the break hits...gawwwwd. This is the song I listen to when I'm exiting the subway as I walk to my office. You should also check out their closing set from Ultra Miami 2015.

Major Lazer - Be Together ft. Wild Belle [Lyric Video]

I've been a big fan of Major Lazer ever since "Pon De Floor" got piped into a hot basement speaker system during a random college party. Then Beyonce sampled it for "Run The World (Girls)" and Diplo's status was kind of set. Major Lazer recently released their third album, Peace is the Mission, and it features some serious fucking bangers, including the worldwide hit "Lean On" with DJ Snake ft. MØ. Check out more below.

Song of the Day: Rihanna - BBHMM (Diplo & Grandtheft Remix)

Diplo and Grandtheft, the duo behind this remix of Calvin Harris' "Sweet Nothing" that's one of my favorite songs ever, are back for another go 'round. The two have once again teamed up to remix Rihanna's "BBHMM (Bitch Better Have My Money)". The track plays like a subdued version of the rap/trap Diplo and Grandtheft are known for. And it's just in time for the weekend, too. Show love and follow Grandtheft and Diplo on Twitter.

Jack Ü - Where Are Ü Now ft. Justin Bieber

I'm a bit late on posting this but, whatever. The Jack Ü album came out all the way back in February. It was pretty flame and Diplo and Skrillex were able to blend their completely different styles in absolute fantastic way. One of the standout tracks from that album was the Justin Bieber assisted "Where Are You Now". Check it out.

Major Lazer & DJ Snake - Lean On ft. MØ [Music Video]

A few weeks ago, Major Lazer dropped "Lean On" with DJ Snake & MØ, the first single off their forthcoming album, Peace is the Mission. Today, the band let loose the music video for "Lean On", as well as confirming Peace is the Mission will drop June 1st. The song is super dope and has been in my rotation since the beginning of March, but I have a few Qs about the music video: One, when did Major Lazer get a budget to do something as expansive as this? And two, am I the only one with a side eye at MØ's dancing? Either way, I'm geeked for the new album.

Justin Bieber - Memphis ft. Diplo & Big Sean

The musical evolution of Justin Bieber continues. He released his Journals album just over a year ago and is gearing up for a new album in 2015. One of the standout cuts from Journals is "Memphis", Bieber's collab with Diplo + Big Sean, and I must say, it's pretty damn dope. What's crazy is that people have categorized Justin Bieber in such a way that they won't even acknowledge the great music that was on the Journals album solely because his name is Justin Bieber.

Beyonce - 7/11 (Jack Ü Remix)

Jack Ü, which is the group name for mega-artists/producers Skrillex and Diplo, liberated this Beyonce 7/11 a while ago and I'm just now coming across the full length version (I had previously been using a concert rip.) Enjoy.

Who Wore It Better? Diplo or Ty Dolla $ign?

Diplo sometimes produces tracks for other artists and, after the artist's song has been released, releases the original production of that track. He did it before with Kreayshawn's "Twerkin" and his own track "Booty Drop" (see below) and a few weeks ago he did it with Ty Dolla $ign's "Stand For" and his own "Long Way Home". So, who wore it better, Diplo, Edward Droste & Rostam or Ty Dolla $ign?

Jack Ü - Take Ü There feat. Kiesza [Music Video]

I'm a big Diplo fan. Like, he's my favorite producer. "Crown" and "Revolution"? Deadly. "Climax"? Murder. Calvin Harris' "Sweet Nothing" remix? On of my favorite tracks, ever.

Jack Ü is Diplo's collaborative group with Skrillex. They just dropped their first official single and the accompanying video. The duo, frequently doing radio shows and concerts together, lock down MSG for New Years.
