The Top One Percenters Playlist Volume 33

Fuck Covid, stay safe. That's the new "fuck bitches, get money." With the unofficial start of summer happening this weekend, it feels a little anticlimactic because I'm stuck in the house, so to make myself feel better, I created Vol 33. Check out the Spotify playlist below and the tracklist after the jump. The Top One Percenters Playlist: Volume 30

CORONAVIIIIIRUS (Cardi B voice). Life is wild, aint it? You think you're doing well, that the fam is doing well, that you've got health, a good job, some money in the bank; You think your investments are sound and (relatively) safe; That you're set up (relatively) well for the future. But life comes at you fast (Kevin Federline would know), just this time, it's coming at everyone at the same time at (largely) the same rate. 

It felt like it was time to make another playlist - it's new music Friday after all (wait, it's only Monday? The days run together when you're inside everyday). It's been much longer than it should've been, and there's so much music to share that I'm breaking them up into two playlists - Volume 30, which is rap, trap and harder electronic, and Volume 31, which will be pop, indie pop, dance, etc. Volume 31 will come later this week, so be on the lookout. Every time I try to make one of these playlists, life gets in the way and then BOOM!, 3 months between playlists. Smh. I promise to be better and do these bi-monthly, if not more frequently.

-- TNGHT // Dollaz // This record gets me lit like "Sicko Mode" did

-- Doja Cat // Bottom Bitch // This track samples Blink 182's "What's My Age Again" and I fucking love it. Her debut album, Hot Pink, is amazing. Highly recommend it

-- Ariana Grande // Breathin' (live) // My favorite track of 2018 gets the live treatment

The Top One Percenters Playlist Volume 25

I'm *kind of* able to do these with a little bit of regularity, but not as frequently as I want. I had most of these tracks selected a few weeks ago but am only now getting around to putting everything together.

The 25th playlist includes some really amazing work from Takeoff of the Migos ("Infatuation" is probably the most fully realized track I've ever from Migos/Migos members), new/newer artist like Glowie and Kiiara, house/dance artist Robyn (probably best known for "Dancing on my Own" and whose new album, Honey, is up there as one of the best albums of 2018) and amazing new sounds from Icona Pop and Empress Of. Goddamn. It feels good to be back. It's literally been more than 3 fucking years since I've done one of the Top One Percenters Mixtape. Having a fucking job, man. It gets in the way. Maybe I'll take the summer off. TBD. But then, I think to myself, I have a second career as a professional money spender, so maybe I shouldn't quit my job lol. Song of the Day: ZHU - Palm of My Hand

So ZHU dropped his debut album, GenerationWHY, almost a year ago. It largely came and went for me, as a lot of albums do these days, but one song that's stuck around has been "Palm of My Hand". This song was literally added to my library on July 21, 2016 and it's still in my main playlist, 9 months later. And still getting crazy tick. It starts a little slow, especially for people who haven't heard it, but the slow seductiveness is part of the allure. When it finally picks up 2 minutes in, you're already in a trance — and that's before the female vocalist speaks French for a bit. What is she saying? Who knows; The most vile shit, probably, but it doesn't matter. This is a fucking summertime, let's-turn-up-as-the-sun-goes-down kind of track.
