The Top One Percenters Playlist Volume 43

You know what it is. Playlist below and tracklist after the jump. As always, new songs have been added to the top of the playlist. Scroll further down to find old playlists. Vol 42 is here and Find all playlists here. It's been a while since I've done a playlist so this one is supersized - 33 tracks.

Ty Dolla $ign - So Am I ft. Damian Marley & Skrillex

Ty Dolla $ign is everywhere. Literally everywhere. He even co-wrote a handful of tracks on Kanye's The Life of Pablo. Now he's gearing up for his second album, Beach House 3, in late October. One of the singles, and one of my favorite tracks of the past few months, is "So Am I" ft. Damian Marley and Skrillex. How does reggae and dubstep work together, one may ask? By having Ty Dolla $ign hold them together. They fit perfectly under his guidance, with a subtle intensity that's best heard through speakers with sufficient bass.

Song of the Day: Machine Gun Kelly - Trap Paris ft. Quavo & Ty Dolla $ign

I've never been a giant MGK fan. I've dabbled in his music here and there, but nothing's really connected too much (save for "Wild Boy" and "On Fire"). But low and behold, I wake up a few days ago to his new single, "Trap Paris' featuring Quavo from Migos & Ty Dolla $ign, and what do I hear? Nothing but straight fire. Now, I realize this may be all relative, but my head was on a swivel when that beat dropped and I heard the intro..."I woke up in Paris // broke all the mirror // must mean last night was too turnt // they caught me fuckin on camera, I aint embarrassed". And it only gets better from there. The flow, the features — everything. This is def a song I'm gonna be channelling my inner MGK on whenever I hear it.

Who Wore It Better? Diplo or Ty Dolla $ign?

Diplo sometimes produces tracks for other artists and, after the artist's song has been released, releases the original production of that track. He did it before with Kreayshawn's "Twerkin" and his own track "Booty Drop" (see below) and a few weeks ago he did it with Ty Dolla $ign's "Stand For" and his own "Long Way Home". So, who wore it better, Diplo, Edward Droste & Rostam or Ty Dolla $ign?
