The Top One Percenters Playlist Volume 31

In work terms, Vol 31 is a "fast-follow" to Vol 30, released just a few weeks ago. Since it's been so long since Vol 29, there was a lot of really great music by a lot of up and coming artists that I've been listening to, so I split the playlists in two - Vol 30 was rap, trap and more aggressive electronic, while Vol 31 is pop, indie, alt, and electronica. Spotify playlist below and tracklist after the jump.

The Top One Percenters Playlist Volume 25

I'm *kind of* able to do these with a little bit of regularity, but not as frequently as I want. I had most of these tracks selected a few weeks ago but am only now getting around to putting everything together.

The 25th playlist includes some really amazing work from Takeoff of the Migos ("Infatuation" is probably the most fully realized track I've ever from Migos/Migos members), new/newer artist like Glowie and Kiiara, house/dance artist Robyn (probably best known for "Dancing on my Own" and whose new album, Honey, is up there as one of the best albums of 2018) and amazing new sounds from Icona Pop and Empress Of. Check out the earlier Top One Percenters Playlist here.

Song of the Day: Ellie Goulding - On My Mind [Music Video]

Ellie Goulding is back with "On My Mind", her brand new single as she gears up for the November 6 release of her third album, Delirium. I'm really, really unsure how I feel about this track. I hated it the first time I heard it, but on the second listen the song grew on me with each passing minute. I think my issue is that this song 100% feels like Ellie Goulding should not be the lead artist on this because it feels off brand. It's too produced and too made for radio. But it feels like a hit, and she's trying to really break through the American market, so I get why they had Max Martin produce this track, and half of the album. We'll see if it becomes a hit.

Major Lazer - Be Together ft. Wild Belle [Lyric Video]

I've been a big fan of Major Lazer ever since "Pon De Floor" got piped into a hot basement speaker system during a random college party. Then Beyonce sampled it for "Run The World (Girls)" and Diplo's status was kind of set. Major Lazer recently released their third album, Peace is the Mission, and it features some serious fucking bangers, including the worldwide hit "Lean On" with DJ Snake ft. MØ. Check out more below.
