Fuckery: Sexyy Red - Ah Thousand Jugs ("1000 Miles Hood Remix")

Idk what this is, but it slaps. Just watch. Here's the first verse below, and all the lyrics on Genius.

Makin' my way through the hood
With your boo, all his homeboys think I'm cute
Doo-doo-doo doo-doo-doo-doo
Doo-doo-doo doo-doo-doo-doo
Ridin' 'round 75
totin' his iron Better not nah-not try nothin'
Boom-boom-boom boom-boom-boom-boom
You gettin' feeled too
Boom-boom-boom boom-boom-boom-boom
I coulda killed you
Boom-boom-boom boom-boom-boom-boom
You lost a tennis shoe
Boom-boom-boom boom-boom-boom-boom
We shootin' out the room
Boom-boom-boom boom-boom-boom-boom
And now you on the news

Kanye West - Lift Yourself (Bad Royale & Chill Pill Remix)

My significant other hates "Lift Yourself". She hates the "poppity scoop" lyrics and even though I love the song, she hates when I play it. So I had to find a remix that made the track a little more bearable for her. Slide in Bad Royale and Chilly Pill for the trap remix. I wanted to put this on the Top One Percenters Mixtape Vol 21 but it wasn't on Spotify.

Charlie Puth - Done For Me (ft. Kehlani) [Music Video]

I've never really followed Charlie Puth. Honestly couldn't tell you who he was or what other songs he has (edit: after consulting Wikipedia, I've obviously had my head in the sand. Dude has hits! And he developed the core melodies and lyrics for "See You Again." Wiz jumped on it after Puth had already developed the concept).

Having said that, Puth recently released a new single from his sophomore album, Voicenotes, titled "Done For Me". It features Kehlani and Puth singing back and forth about current and ex-mates who never brought enough to the relationship. The melodies and vocals are great, and there's a fantastic Syn Cole remix that makes the song a bit more dance/disco (check it out below).

Song of the Day: Rihanna - Kiss It Better [R3hab Remix]

I'm not generally a fan of dance remixes of rap and r&b tracks - they usually feel super forced to me because it's difficult to reconcile the complete opposite speeds of the genres. EDM is super fast and rap/r&b is generally mid-tempo. Anyway, this R3hab remix of Rihanna's "Kiss It Better" is pretty damn flame because it's able to fully encompass Rihanna's vocals and feel like a completely original track. This will be getting tick all summer.

The Hood Internet - The Mixtape Volume 9

The Hood Internet is a Chicago-based DJ duo. They do mashups, generally rap/R&B vocals over snyth/indie-pop or electronic beats. They just released their 9th mixtape and it's got all sort of heaters and bangers on it. You've got Dr. Dre over Dillon Francis, Rae Sremmurd over Caribou, all kinds of crazy shit. They've even got Kendrick Lamar over Taylor Swift - "Backseat freestyle" over "Shake It Off". You can DL the full stream or a zip with the individual tracks over on their website. Hit the jump for the tracklist

Robyn - Dancing On My Own [Fred Falke Remix]

I liked the original version of Robyn's "Dancing On My Own" until I saw it on Girls, then i hated it, like I do everything related to that show (side bar, can you tell I hate Girls?). I was on a Fred Falke remix bender a few months ago and one of the better remixes of his was this wonderful house/disco inspired remix. I know the song is depressing, but listening to this remix puts me in a great mood.

London Grammer - Hey Now [Arty Remix]

If you've heard London Grammar before, you know their musical style is not on the energetic side. But the lead singer's voice, over their production, is like a slow-motion knockout punch from Mike Tyson. And London Grammar over dance beats is like a Mike Tyson punch set to classical music. You're just in awe. And that's the feeling you get when you listen to the Arty Remix of "Hey Now". So much energy, so much life...so much London Grammar crooning. Show love and check out their Facebook, Twitter, Soundcloud and website. Check out Arty's Soundcloud for more.

Glass Animals - Gooey [Love Taps Remix]

How fucking lit is this? Love Taps is a NYC-based DJ duo who flipped the fuck out of Glass Animal's "Gooey" and launched themselves a career in the process. They first hit the scene earlier this year with their debut single and video, "Back For More". They've been featured on BBC Radio 1, Diplo & Friends, and more. You can download "Gooey" from their Soundcloud page here. Show love and check out their Soundcloud, Facebook, Twitter, and IG.

JAY Z - I Just Wanna Love U (Planet Giza Remix)

This remix is basically a chillwave/dance version of JAY Z + Pharrell's classic "I Just Wanna Love U" from the 2000 album, The Dynasty: Roc La Familia. I've really been into the chill dance music shit for a few months and it shows no signs of slowing down. I swear, there's been a dearth of God level rap music recently.

Song of the Day: Rihanna - BBHMM (Diplo & Grandtheft Remix)

Diplo and Grandtheft, the duo behind this remix of Calvin Harris' "Sweet Nothing" that's one of my favorite songs ever, are back for another go 'round. The two have once again teamed up to remix Rihanna's "BBHMM (Bitch Better Have My Money)". The track plays like a subdued version of the rap/trap Diplo and Grandtheft are known for. And it's just in time for the weekend, too. Show love and follow Grandtheft and Diplo on Twitter.

Throwback: Ghostface Killah - You Know I'm No Good ft. Amy Winehouse

A little known banger. Ghostface remade/remixed Amy Winehouse's "I'm No Good" for his 2006 album More Fish. As cool as JAY Z's remix of "Rehab" was, this is my favorite rapper made remix of an Amy Winehouse song.

Florence + The Machine - What Kind of Man (Nicolas Jaar Remix)

Florence + The Machine is getting ready to drop their third album, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful on June 1st. The first single and music video, "What Kind of Man", came out a few weeks ago and now Nicolas Jaar does an epic 12 minute house remix of it. Honestly, no matter how dope a track is, 12 minutes is just too long. I need a 7 minute edit of this to truly be happy in life. Shouts to Nu Wave Pony.

Song of the Day: Miley Cyrus - Do My Thang (Lemi Vice & Action Jackson Remix)

I waver back on forth on how big a Miley Cyrus fan I am. On one hand, I hate "We Can't Stop", but love "#GETITRIGHT", "See You Again" and "Party In The USA". My new Miley infatuation is this Lemi Vice & Action Jackson trap remix of "Do My Thang". It also helps that they use a Hannah Montana image for the cover art because staring at young Miley while listening to new Miley cracks me the fuck up. Shouts to White Folks Get Crunk.

Beyonce - 7/11 (Jack Ü Remix)

Jack Ü, which is the group name for mega-artists/producers Skrillex and Diplo, liberated this Beyonce 7/11 a while ago and I'm just now coming across the full length version (I had previously been using a concert rip.) Enjoy.

Throwback of the Day: Rich Boy - Throw Some D's + Kanye West - Throw Some Ds

And the much, much better Kayne version. It's all about getting fake D-cup tits. Genius, Kayne, genius. "Now she done went to school and got all type of degrees, but I bet you that she never had them Ds!"

Song of the Day: Gwen Stefani - Baby Don't Lie (Audio / Kaskade & KillaGraham Remix)

Gwen Stefani has released a few tracks from her upcoming third solo album. Both were underwhelming, especially since they both were pushed as singles that got the music video treatment. "Baby Don't Lie" was cool as a "hey guys, I'm back after 8 years. Get ready for an official single and album" type of track. But then they did the video. Then the got the sync deal for "Spark The Fire" and made that video...and it's like, this is how you reintroduce a superstar artist after 8 years away? I don't get it.

But this "Baby Don't Lie" remix by Kaskade et al is dope and worthy of attention.
