Robyn - Dancing On My Own [Fred Falke Remix]
I liked the original version of Robyn's "Dancing On My Own" until I saw it on Girls, then i hated it, like I do everything related to that show (side bar, can you tell I hate Girls?). I was on a Fred Falke remix bender a few months ago and one of the better remixes of his was this wonderful house/disco inspired remix. I know the song is depressing, but listening to this remix puts me in a great mood.
Foxes - "Body Talk" + "Wildstar" + "Let Go For Tonight" [Fred Falke Remix]
I'm just now getting hip to Foxes because I hated Zedd's "Clarity" and I swore off both her and him for a long time. But I'm coming back to my senses because Foxes sometimes come with the flames. Check out her latest single "Body Talk", as well as her assistance on Giorgio Moroder's "Wildstar" and (The God) Fred Falke remix of her "Let It Go For The Night".
Introducing Florrie
I've been a fan of Florrie for a few years now, ever since I stumbled upon "Panic Attack (Fred Falke Remix)", a 7 minute house remix. Florrie's the drummer for production house Xenomania (Girls Aloud, The Saturdays) and has been releasing EPs at a rate of about one per year. Her latest, 2014's Sirens, is my personal favorite. It includes the above "Wanna Control Myself" and four other electro-synthpop bangers. Florrie's working on her first full length album which is supposed to drop sometime later this year. The first single from that album, "Too Young To Remember" (below), debuted on H&M's website and YouTube page. Whenever I listen to Florrie, I just feel a sense of excitement and happiness. That shit's rare. Show love and check out her Soundcloud, Facebook, Twitter, website and iTunes page.
