There's not a lot to say except DMX, years ago, should have enlisted The XX to produce his comeback album. They capture the dark, sparse instrumentation the dark man x was best known for. Check The Hood Internet for more mashups like this.

Jamie XX - Loud Places ft. Romy [Music Video]
Jamie XX is a British producer/DJ and part of the band The xx (who I was introduced to via this really, really stellar The xx/DMX mashup). He also did a 2011 album remixing Gil-Scott Heron's We're New Here. You might've heard "I'll Take Care of You" somewhere. I've been a big fan of his ever since he released "Girl" last year. His sophomore album, In Colour, will be released June 1st, and "Loud Places", featuring his XX bandmate Romy, will be on it.
When I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art yesterday, I made a conscience effort not to listen to any music while I was there. But that was until I got to one of the modern art sections and I felt this sudden urge to view everything while listening to "Loud Places" on repeat. There was just something about everything that called out to be taken in with "Loud Places" on in the background. Show love and check out his Facebook and website. While you're at it, listen to "Girl" for good measure.
