The Top One Percenters Playlist Volume 31

In work terms, Vol 31 is a "fast-follow" to Vol 30, released just a few weeks ago. Since it's been so long since Vol 29, there was a lot of really great music by a lot of up and coming artists that I've been listening to, so I split the playlists in two - Vol 30 was rap, trap and more aggressive electronic, while Vol 31 is pop, indie, alt, and electronica. The Top One Percenters Playlist Volume 28

This edition is a little supersized because it's been so long since I've made a playlist. Lot of artists that are new to me/I haven't posted about before (e.g. Megan Thee Stallion, Kim Petras, Lolo Zouaï), regular hitmakers (e.g. Ariana Grande, Sam Smith) artists who are back on the scene after a hiatus and/or music that didn't bop (e.g. Big Sean, French Montana, Iggy Azalea) and artists that are just making great, feel good music (e.g. Burna Boy, Spencer Ludwig, Sofi Tukker).

Twice in one year? I'm officially back on my mixtape game lol. After taking 3 years between volume 20 and 21, we're trying to do things a bit quicker these days. Goddamn. It feels good to be back. It's literally been more than 3 fucking years since I've done one of the Top One Percenters Mixtape. Having a fucking job, man. It gets in the way. Maybe I'll take the summer off. TBD. But then, I think to myself, I have a second career as a professional money spender, so maybe I shouldn't quit my job lol. Dagny - Backbeat / That Feeling When [Music Video]

Dagny is a Norwegian indie-pop artist — one in a long list of epic Scandinavian pop that Sweden (primarily) has become known for producing. How they've gotten so amazing at creating seemingly an entire genre? I don't know, and more importantly, it doesn't matter. All you gotta do it take in the incredible writing, singing and production. I saw Dagny when I was in Norway a few months ago and her show was really dope. Super energetic and epic in an intimate way. "Backbeat" is one of her bigger songs, and "That Feeling When" is her most recent.
