The UK-based indie-pop/soul band Alpines are not to be confused with the Australian based indie-pop group Alpine. "Zero" starts like a super dance/house track before the pop and soul kicks in. And that's okay. It's got the background drums (and the African face) and Catherine Pockson's literally sweet and soulful voice on it, which gives each track a starting feel of quality even before a single word or note is written.
