Kanye West's 2010-2011 is the Greatest 2 Year Stretch in Music History

I was listening to Rick Ross' "Live Fast, Die Young" a few weeks ago and "I Don't Like" came on next. Then "Christian Dior Denim Flow." Then "Devil in a New Dress" and "Niggas in Paris." And I thought, damn, Kanye had a really crazy 2010 and 2011. 

After discussing with a few friends and strengthening my argument, I landed here:

Song of the Day: Rihanna - Kiss It Better [R3hab Remix]

I'm not generally a fan of dance remixes of rap and r&b tracks - they usually feel super forced to me because it's difficult to reconcile the complete opposite speeds of the genres. EDM is super fast and rap/r&b is generally mid-tempo. Anyway, this R3hab remix of Rihanna's "Kiss It Better" is pretty damn flame because it's able to fully encompass Rihanna's vocals and feel like a completely original track. This will be getting tick all summer.

Song of the Day: Rihanna - BBHMM (Diplo & Grandtheft Remix)

Diplo and Grandtheft, the duo behind this remix of Calvin Harris' "Sweet Nothing" that's one of my favorite songs ever, are back for another go 'round. The two have once again teamed up to remix Rihanna's "BBHMM (Bitch Better Have My Money)". The track plays like a subdued version of the rap/trap Diplo and Grandtheft are known for. The original Rihanna song, produced by the English duo Chase & Status, was/is my favorite song off Rihanna's Unapologetic. This remix is how rap remixes should be done. Theophilus London reworks the beat, keeps the hook, drops some bars.
