Jamie XX is a British producer/DJ and part of the band The xx (who I was introduced to via this really, really stellar The xx/DMX mashup). He also did a 2011 album remixing Gil-Scott Heron's We're New Here. You might've heard "I'll Take Care of You" somewhere. I've been a big fan of his ever since he released "Girl" last year. His sophomore album, In Colour, will be released June 1st, and "Loud Places", featuring his XX bandmate Romy, will be on it.
When I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art yesterday, I made a conscience effort not to listen to any music while I was there. But that was until I got to one of the modern art sections and I felt this sudden urge to view everything while listening to "Loud Places" on repeat.
