Song of the Day: CSS - I See You Drunk Gurl

I. Fucking. Love. CSS. Their band name stands for Cansei De Ser Sexy, which is Portuguese for "I'm tired of being sexy", which according to the band, they heard Beyonce say once. They haven't released anything since 2013's Planta (which I wasn't really a fan of) but this shit here? This shit right here? I'm banging hard. It was produced by TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek (who produced Planta), and I love it because it feels like a return to their unabashed, party-hard motherfucker, in-your-face style of their self-titled debut. I have no clue really where this track will end up but I'm guessing it was a leftover from the Planta sessions.

CSS (short hand for Cansei de Ser Sexy, which is Portugese for "I'm tired of being sexy") has always been one of my favorite bands. I first heard of them back in 2007 when their track, "Music Is My Hot, Hot Sex", landed in the inaugural commercial for the iPod Touch. One of the most perfect song/commercial combos, in my opinion. "I've Seen You Drunk Gurl" is a loosie not on any CSS album but you can purchase it here. Oh, yeah. And this was produced by Dave Sitek.
