Song of the Day: Lady Gaga - The Cure

So Gaga released a new song a week ago when she was doing her first of two headlining performances @ Coachella. Titled "The Cure", it's a pop song that has the same vibes as a lot of what you're hearing on the radio right now. Nothing like Joanne or Artpop. New direction for her? Thought the same about "Perfect Illusion". Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice...

Anyway, this track is growing on me, and like Calvin Harris' "Slide", I feel like I'm going to be hearing and playing this track all summer. But on the other hand, it reminds me of Katy Perry's "Chained To The Rhythm" — solid, if not spectacular, something that works for a bit but doesn't last very long. I wish this meant she was dropping a new album soon, but seeing as she's about to embark on the Joanne world tour, I doubt anything's on the horizon.
