Blondfire is an LA-based indie-pop band gearing up for the release of a new EP next year. To start the hype train, the group released "Pleasure", which very much feels California to me. Erica Drsicoll, the lead singer, described the track to Billboard as such:
The song was inspired by the crazy Manchester drug scene aftermath and how seeking that ultimate euphoria and pleasure can come with a dark side. Perhaps the band's biggest hit, "Waves", reminds me a bit of Empire of the Sun, for a point of reference.
