Universal Pictures is releasing the NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton later this year, and during last night's Grammy awards (yawn), they aired a teaser commercial for the pic. The teaser features Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, both deeply involved in producing Straight Outta Compton, driving around the city and talking about what NWA meant (they also chat with fellow Compton rappers Game and Kendrick Lamar for good measure). Per Universal:

When five young men translated their experiences growing up into brutally honest music that rebelled against abusive authority, they gave an explosive voice to a silenced generation. Following the meteoric rise and fall of N.W.A., Straight Outta Compton tells the astonishing story of how these youngsters revolutionized music and pop culture forever the moment they told the world the truth about life in the hood and ignited a cultural war.Straight Outta Compton was directed by F. Gary Gray (Friday, Set It Off, The Italian Job) and stars O’Shea Jackson Jr. as Ice Cube (yes — that's Ice Cubes son), Corey Hawkins as Dr. Dre, Jason Mitchell as Eazy-E, and Paul Giamatti as their manager Jerry Heller. Straight Outta Compton hits theaters August 14th, 2015.
