Maroon 5 just released their new single, "This Summer's Gonna Hurt Like a Motherfucker" (sent to radio et al simply as "This Summer's Gonna Hurt"), so get ready to hear this song everywhere you go. Literally, as it was sent to radio today to be added to rotations this week. The track, which people are already using the hashtag SongOfSummer15 for (and I totally agree with), will be on the reissue of the band's 2014 album V.
Goddamn, I love this song already. It's so incredibly pop music in its purest form: Adam Levine's-better-than-Robin-Thicke-crooning, the sing-along and yell hook, the synths and guitars — everything.
